HEALTHI KIDS
Healthi Kids has brought together schools, libraries, R-Centers, childcare providers and out of school time programs to participate in the Global School Play Day, celebrated in more than 75 countries! Together, we can amplify our community’s vision for playful learning in all of our learning environments.
Healthi Kids has provided resources, materials, and support for almost 60 locations to advance unstructured play in their learning environments for Global School Day of Play.

NEWS REPORT ON NEW YORK
The Rochester City School District partnered with Healthi Kids to bring playtime back to schools.
Concerned kids weren't getting enough unstructured playtime, six educators began "Global School Play Day" in 2015. The day is now celebrated in 75 countries around the world, and has influenced the creation of 60 sites in the Rochester area.
“The City of Rochester’s work to deliver hope and opportunity to everyone in our community includes the opportunity for our youth to engage in valuable play,” said Mayor Malik Evans. “On Global School Play Day and always, our city R-Centers and libraries provide safe spaces with caring adults where kids can have fun, learn, and form positive relationships with peers.
